Frank Thrower for Dartington Glass, pattern FT35, a moulded 'Marguerite' style floor vase of squared sleeve form with three plain sides and a stylised Daisy on the other, in Cobalt Blue. N.B. This piece, standing 42 cm in height, and of a much heavier construction than the standard production item, has had the usually flared rim inverted, step finished and polished. It is thought to be a one off, and therefore probably unique.

Frank Thrower for Dartington Glass, pattern FT52, 'Head' vase known as 'Ugly', first appeared in the 1968 catalogue. Due to both its appearance, and the fact that it was relatively expensive, this proved to be an unpopular pattern which did not sell well, and it was withdrawn in 1980. Scarce. Frank Thrower for Dartington Glass, pattern FT52, 'Head' vase known as 'Ugly', which first appeared in the 1968 catalogue in three colours - Flint, Kingfisher, and Midnight, but the pattern was withdrawn after a limited production run, and are therefore now considered to be fairly uncommon. This example is further distinguished by being made in the later Cobalt Blue colourway, and very few examples in this colour are known to exist. Very scarce. 23 cm

Frank Thrower for Dartington Glass, an FT58 'Greek Key' water or lemonade jug in Kingfisher 22.5 cm. N.B A diagrammatical only reference to this version of the large Greek Key vase, adapted in the studio for use as a jug, is shown in 'Dartington Glass - The First 20 years' (Smithson) p36. The reference states that very few of these conversions were known to have been made, and consequently are therefore considered to be 'Extremely rare'.

This vase, with all four sides bearing a different design, was rather expensive when introduced in 1967, and therefore did not sell well.
